Dancing Texas grazed among a few other stallion who would too, be seeking a mate. He wanted to stand out and be first to get one. Texas reared playfully and bucked, showing his strength. Texas nuzzled the grass and snatched up a mouthful of the sweet grass. He reared and whinnied, his neck rippling with power. Texas arched his neck, raised his tail and started to trot around the creek, a few mares looked on with interest. He hoped one would approach him soon.
Azul lifted her head, Pausing from her morning meal she spotted the stallion. Her black coat shining in the sun, She watched him. Nickering and giving him an approving look. She was young though barely Three. and had never had a stallion or a mate.

Texas took notice of Azul, who had nickered to him, he trotted to her gracefully and stood a yard away, then bowed his head with respect. "Greetings to you, beautiful one. I am called Dancing Texas, Texas for short." Texas said, his voice deep and formal.
Giggling at his coment, No Texas I dont have a stallion I never have. where is your herd? your mares? surly a stallion of your power and handsomness would have a mare or two..... Throwing his own question back at him she grinned.
Texas grinned, she was a smart mare. "Actually, I left me herd in the lands of my brother to seek out a mate. He's not to particularly happy about leading my herd for a while but he's agreed to help me out." Texas snorted.
Texas nuzzled her back, then gently brushed his velvet muzzle down her neck, warmth glowed inside his body, would Griffin still act aggressive around Azul if he brought her back? Or would be treat her like he treated Texas? He hoped he didn't start any trouble.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Azul relaxed, leaning into Texas just a bit. she was fine with having a mate but she wasnt quite sure what all involved being his mate, she knew of course that having his foals was part of it. but never the less she was comfortable around him, she dropped her head and started grazing not sure when they would leave.
Happy with that she grazed a bit not really interested in eating but a cover, she was watching Texas the entire time. Taking him in. She did want a mate that was why she had come here, she just didnt expect to find one so quickly. she smiled, he was handsome.
"I think we may need to leave in a sudden rush, its coming from my herd." Texas explained. "Would you like to come or stay here I may not be back? Anyhow if you come there is a fight happening another stallion has challenged Griffin for my mares and land"
