Strider all of sudden noticed he was being called for. He immediately got up, looking over in the direction of the other two. He galloped over at full speed, his arched neck gleamed in the sun, followed by his graceful chestnut mane. "What's the problem?" Strider looked down at Illusion, examining her closely.
Flight who was also thinking the same thing saw the fear in Strider's eyes...no no no she cried to her self. She pressed her face into Illusion's neck, willing her her energy. "You'll be ok Illusion, you'll be ok."
Strider supported her all the way to the small lake. As soon as he got her there, he urged her to drink as much as she could. "Even if you don't feel like drinking, just go for a little longer, you really need a lot of fluid in there."
"Fine I will drink a little." She told him so he would stop stressing. She started to drink hoping the foal would be ok. She stopped drinking and looked at her stomach. She didn't want to cry right now but she could feel her eyes getting moist and then they overflowed.
"Just lie down Illusion, I'll take care of it. Flight, stay with her. She needs someone by her just incase the pains come back." Strider left the two in a full bolt. He noticed hoof beats nearby, they were becoming more and more clear. Strider was afraid of what it might be, it sounded like the horse had weight on it's back, the horse's beats were slightly dragged. Strider came to a stop and backed up a few steps. He heard yelling, and it wasn't horses. Strider reared up in a rage, bolted once more, and came into their sight range. He lured them out of the area, into the forest. Strider heard the cracking of whips behind him. He couldn't afford to look back even for a second. He hoped so much that the mares had stayed put.
Strider had many talents. One of them was weaving. Probably one of his favorites as well. Strider weaved through these trees like a magician. He could hear that the other horses were being left behind. Thankfully, Strider new these lands from the back of his head. He knew a creek was coming up. He also loved to swim. He galloped directly downhill. He leaped into the creek from about 2 meters up, disappearing under the water. He struggled to get his head over, because of the strong current. As soon as he dived in, he noticed how lucky he was to dodge all of these rocks.
Strider treaded water, hoping that his legs wouldn't be caught on any of the rocks. He managed to find a piece of earth that was possible to climb up. As soon as he was out of the water, he saw the other horses refusing to touch the water. Typical stabled horses. Strider left them behind, slowly decreasing in their sight. He heard whinnies behind him, ignoring them completely. He was happy to have such a fun game and also win. That certainly set his mood for the day.
Flight pranced, she couldn't not help herself, she was worried. She was not usted to beng bound in one place. She wondered what was going on with strider and if he was ok. She looked back at Illusion. "How are you feeling?"
